Valued Chamber Member,
The rise of COVID-19 in our area has impacted everything in our careers, social life, family life and our daily routines. Small businesses are no exception to this impact. Please continue to seek information that can assist you and your business during this time.
The Following Assistance Program applications open November 2, 2020
The Small Business Relief Grant
The Small Business Relief Grant (“SBRG”) is designed to provide necessary relief to Ohio businesses that have been negatively impacted by the effects of COVID-19. The Governor of the State of Ohio, Mike DeWine, has designated up to 125million dollars of funding received by the State of Ohio from the Federal CARES Act to provide $10,000 grants to small businesses to assist in ensuring the survival and stability of these crucial businesses. Governor DeWine has determined that these grants are necessary to respond to the public health emergency by providing economic support to some of the businesses harmed by the effects of COVID-19. The SBRG will be administered by the Ohio Development Services Agency.
The Bar and Restaurant Assistance Fund
The Bar and Restaurant Assistance Fund is designed to assist Ohio’s on-premise liquor permit holders. This $38.7 million fund will help more than 15,400 licensees significantly impacted by COVID-19 and limited in the full use of their liquor permit. Funding for the program is from the CARES Act.
Home Relief Grant
The state of Ohio, working with local Community Action Agencies, will help eligible Ohioans who are behind on rent, mortgage, and water and/or sewer utility bills catch up on past payments back to April 1, 2020 and provide additional assistance through December 30, 2020.
Sincerely,
