Delphos Hardware Corporation was started in at the same location it sits today on Main St. in Delphos. The business is the oldest known hardware to be currently operating at the same location in the state and one of the oldest in the country. In 1983, The Fritz family took over ownership of the business with the philosophy of truly caring about people and helping them with their projects. This philosophy has brought the best 30 years of business in its 140 year history.
Delphos Ace Hardware believes being involved in the community is the core of who they are as a local business. They are supporters of the Delphos Community Christmas Project, Delphos Canal Days, Delphos Chamber of Commerce, Delphos Downtown Beautification Committee, both local schools and countless smaller events. They support the Delphos FFA, 4-H programs, Freshman Experience and the Pelatonia Spring for the Cure. Delphos Ace Hardware tries to take community involvement to the next level making them part of the community, not just a member of it.
Unlike the big box stores, Delphos Ace Hardware’s passion lies within their customers. They want the customers to know they are here to help them with all their needs and for the customer to want to come back. Their true vision is for their employees to have the knowledge to be able to help every customer. No matter what they are coming in to buy, we strive to get the customers everything they need in one trip.
It is a risk staying in an old building but with a bit of creativity and hard work Delphos Ace Hardware is able to keep a fresh selection of merchandise and a good appearance. There is a constant evolving selection of inventory with products brought in through Ace, and bringing in new products is an important part of staying up to date with today’s world. They love their old location and amazing customer relationships and hope to continue to grow and be here for many years to come.
